Lake of Pearls (2012–2015)

In 2012, my dear friend Penny Nichols, singer-songwriter extraordinaire, and I decided to put together a trio with vocal harmonies as its centerpiece — harkening back, for me, to my beloved Kindred Spirit. Michael Monagan, also a wonderful singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, joined us to add layers of harmonies, answer calls and counter melodies to the intricacies of our songs, especially the complexities of Penny Nichols’ new songs.

I can’t believe we never recorded, but I do have a video of a memorable concert we did at Arturo’s gallery in Carpinteria, CA.
